Boston Properties (BXP)

Owns and manages class A office properties in Boston, Midtown Manhattan, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, and Princeton, N.J. Also owns a hotel and a few residential and retail properties.

Brandywine Realty (BDN)

Owns Class A suburban and urban office properties in the U.S.

Corporate Office Properties (OFC)

Owns technically sophisticated buildings in visually appealing settings typically concentrated in large office parks primarily located adjacent to government demand drivers. It leases its properties to U.S. Government agencies and to information technology firms in the defense industry catering to government agencies.  

Cousins Properties (CUZ)

Owns and manages Class A office properties in Georgia, Texas, and North Carolina.

Easterly Government Properties (DEA)

A February 2015 IPO, Easterly owns properties located throughout the United States leased to the U.S. Government agencies through the General Services Administration. Internally managed.

Equity Commonwealth (EQC)

Changed name from Commonwealth REIT in May, 2014. Sam Zell is Board Chairman. Owns 40+ commercial office properties in the U.S.  Internally managed. Suspended regular dividends in March 2014. Paid $2.50/share special dividend in October 2018.

Franklin Street Properties (FSP)

Owns suburban and central business district office buildings, primarily in Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Houston, and Minneapolis.

Government Properties (GOV)

Owns properties located throughout the United States leased primarily to the U.S. Government or to state government tenants. 

Highwoods Properties (HIW)

Owns class A office buildings, mostly in the Southeast U.S. Also owns residential apartment properties and vacant land.

Mack-Cali Realty (CLI)

Owns and 278 Class A office and office/flex buildings located mostly in the Northeast U.S.

Pacific Office Properties (PCFO)

Owns and manages office properties in southern California and Hawaii. In March 2008, Arizona Land Income Corporation and the Shidler Group combined office building portfolios to form PCE.  Suspended dividend payouts in March 2011. Penny stock.

Parkway Properties (PKY) 

Owns office properties in Chicago and in the Southeastern and Southwestern U.S. Also offers fee management services to other office property owners.  

Piedmont Office Realty Trust (PDM) 

A February 2010 IPO, Piedmont owns Class-A office properties, primarily in the 10 largest U.S. office markets.

SL Green Realty (SLG) 

Owns office properties, mostly in Manhattan, and is NY's largest office landlord. Also owns properties in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Westchester County, Connecticut and New Jersey.


Formerly non-listed Behringer Harvard REIT, TIER has been self-managed since 9/1/12. Converted to publicly traded REIT in July 2015.Owns office properties in 19 cities across the U.S.
